WE ARE HIRING — DRONE SWARM RESEARCHERS (CAMEROON / REMOTE)
AI Research Company (airesearchcompany.com) is recruiting Drone Swarm Researchers to build Cameroon’s first serious R&D program in multi-drone coordination, autonomous mission planning, and safe, compliant swarm operations.
Why this role exists
Swarm technology is not yet mature locally. We are building the foundation: algorithms, simulation infrastructure, flight-test protocols, and real-world pilot projects that can deliver value in mapping, inspection, agriculture, and humanitarian support—with strict respect for safety and regulations.
What you will work on (Research Themes)
- Swarm coordination: leader–follower, formation control, coverage path planning
- Task allocation: centralized scheduling, auctions/market-based assignment, multi-agent RL (research track)
- Multi-drone deconfliction and safety layers (geofencing, separation, failsafes)
- Communication & networking: telemetry, latency-aware coordination, resilience to dropouts
- Simulation-to-real: SITL/HIL workflows, domain randomization, reproducible benchmarks
- Field evaluation: metrics (coverage, energy, time, safety), logging, post-flight analytics
- Optional (advanced): cooperative perception, shared mapping, multi-robot SLAM
Expected deliverables
- Working prototypes in simulation (with repeatable experiments)
- Technical reports and experiment logs
- A tested baseline “Minimum Viable Swarm” (2–5 drones) roadmap
- Documentation: safety checklists, test plans, and evaluation framework
Candidate profile
We welcome: MSc/PhD students, early-career researchers, and strong engineers with research discipline.
You should have some of:
- Multi-agent systems, robotics, control, optimization, or RL
- ROS2, PX4/ArduPilot, MAVLink (nice to have)
- Python + scientific stack; basic C++ is a plus
- Simulation experience (Gazebo/Ignition, AirSim, or custom)
- Ability to write clearly (reports, experiment design)
Work mode and location
- Cameroon-based preferred (field testing opportunities)
- Remote researchers also accepted (simulation + algorithm track)
How to apply
Send to [email] or [WhatsApp]:
- CV (PDF)
- Short note (10–15 lines): your research interests + why swarm tech
- 1 link or attachment: GitHub, paper, thesis, project, or portfolio
- Your availability (hours/week) and location (city/country)
Deadline: [DD Month YYYY]
